Android or iOS - Which is Better and Why?

The question on whether Android or iOS is better still haunts many users across the globe, especially the ones planning to make a purchase. Well, here is a guide for you on why and which is better. You need to remember that both operating systems are market leaders, and each of them has their pros and cons. However, as a smart buyer you need to be fully aware of what really works for you and what is not effective. In this way, it will help you make your purchase decision according to your specific needs. Here we go:

  Hardware

One of the areas where differences are clear is the hardware. Here and important thing to remember is that it is only Apple that makes iPhones and as a result the company has a complete control over how the hardware and software work together. On the other hand, we see that Google offers Android software to other phones such as the Motorola, Samsung, HTC, and so on. As a result the sizes, shapes, and how the software and hardware work together vary. Well, the premium phones from Android are good when it comes to hardware but the cheaper phones are generally prone to more problems. The Apple phones no doubt are better in this regard.

 Waiting game for OS

Another differentiating factor is the OS compatibility. You have to have an iOS to make sure that you have the most latest and the most efficient operating system. This is because some of the Android makers are really slow in providing the specific updates for phones on time. Some versions of Android don’t even update their phones at all. With Android it is expected that the older versions will lose support, but the story is completely different with iOS. So if you are looking for something that is greatest or latest, then iOS is the choice.

Selecting the app and having good control

When compared to that of Google play, the Apple apps offer fewer options. However, it needs to be remembered that overall selection is not the only important thing when it comes to choosing apps for mobile. Some feel that apple is too restrictive about the apps available on the store, but think about the fake Whatsapp app that was available on Google Play and around 1 million people downloaded it. This is definitely one of the security threats that not many people would prefer in this insecure world. So here the buyer needs to consider many options versus safe options.

Master stroke in gaming

Once upon a time there was a domination of Nintendo and so on in the gaming sector. However, iOS then dominated it with the several iPhones that we configured with excellent options. With tens of thousands of games and millions of online players, it is definitely a preferred option for many serious gamers. A good integration of iOS and hardware has allowed to create several powerful games. The general conception of free games of Android has led game developers to give first priority to Apple and second to Android, and so you can guess the kind of quality compared to that of Apple.

These and many other comparisons will help you make the right decision. If you are on a tight budget you know your purchase, but if you are flexible with your budget and want something that is superior and premium quality then you can decide considering the several features and benefits. We hope that this comparison will help you make the right choice as a buyer.

Share Files between Android and iOS - Explore Hassle-free File Sharing Options

Android and iOS have long been at loggerheads with one another fighting over the share of the smartphone & tablet markets. More than 80% of the mobile market are Android users. Right after Android is Apple’s brainchild, iOS, which has a small but significant consumer base. But what happens when an Android user clashes with an iOS devotee on a project and when transferring files between iOS and Android becomes an absolute necessity? It is a frustrating experience at best because you start dealing with files which are larger than the 15-25 MB limit and your productivity faces a major obstacle.

Transferring files between iOS and Android
Suppose you need to share files which are physically nearby what are you going to do? You can certainly do so with the help of a local Wi-Fi application and can turn your Android or iOS device into a small router with the help of which you can transfer different kinds of files of different sizes or number of files. The only downside of these applications is they do not work long distances. The two devices have to be in the same room or building to be able to transfer the files. Here is how you can do it.

SHAREit from Lenovo
Lenovo is clearly the most recommended app for transferring files across different platforms and that includes iOS, Android and Windows. So whether it is a small image file or a number of stuff which includes your videos, music albums, documents or random files, SHAREit is one app which can transfer them all from Android to iOS (and vice versa) in super-fast speed.  You just need to have both devices on the same WiFi. It is developed by Lenovo and is absolutely free.

Fast File Transfer
Fast File Transfer transfers large files over small distances with ease with the help of the local Wi-Fi network. It is unique to an Android device and can help with the iOS device to log onto it. The Android user downloads and also starts the app, which forms a network that the iOS user can choose to use and it is pretty fast.

Feem
Feem is another application for both Android and iOS which can make file-sharing between devices really fast by creating a local Wi-Fi network. It has to be downloaded on both devices and then enters your partner’s username before you send and receive files.

Instashare
You can download Instashare on Android, iOS, and Mac OSX as well.  Instashare is based on Apple’s Airdrop feature and can help to send and receive files from Android devices.

Sharable
Sharable is another cool option available easily in the local Wi-Fi department. It is similar to Instashare and also has the added benefit of being free and thankfully comes with zero advertisements and no restrictions as well. Install it seamlessly on Mac, Android, Windows, or iOS and connects users via their device’s local Wi-Fi.

File Transfer for iOS
File Transfer for iOS, with the sister app File Transfer for Android it makes file transfers pretty simple between devices. It also has the additional benefit of using Bluetooth whenever possible and helping detect the nearby devices without the help of Wi-Fi. It comes with configurations and absolutely no learning curve, this is clearly the option to consider!

Snapdragon/Sharedrop
They are referred as web-based tools, we are talking about Snapdragon and Sharedrop which easily helps to transfer files across both iOS and Android. They are handy web-based replacements for Apple’s Airdrop feature. Users can transfer a lot of stuff with the help of these tools, such as video, images, PDF, and links across devices quickly. The devices need to be connected to the internet to enable file transfer.
